BlackBerry, Paid Campaign

After premiering in theatres, BlackBerry came to CBC and CBC Gem as a three-part series. Building on the success of the movie, we implemented our own paid marketing campaign which included two unique pieces of key art, a robust digital strategy (connected TVs, IMDB, Just Watch, Rotten Tomatoes) as well as an interactive “BlackBerry Museum” in Toronto’s Eaton Centre (November 2023).

Essex County, Season 1

Essex County brings the award winning novel by Jeff Lemire to life on screen. The key art is heavily inspired by the book cover as we represent the journey that each of our characters are on - with feet firmly planted and roots growing beneath them. The teases are meant to give a quick glimpse into Essex County: the people and the locations.

Run the Burbs is a throwback to classic sitcoms, with modern family values. Knowing this, we wanted to make sure our marketing campaign was as bright and playful as the Pham’s. Our campaign featured comedic moments, vivid colours and family dynamics. Marketing tactics included promos, O+O, OOH creative, digital + social, Buzzfeed takeover with custom posts and mall directory screens. Confirmed 25-54 AMA of 121k on premiere night.

Son of a Critch had a great first season. Confirmed 25-54 AMA of 267k on premiere night, and CBC’s most successful comedy since Kim’s Convenience. Marketing tactics included numerous spots (we had lots of comedic moments to choose from), O+O, OOH creative, digital + social, YouTube takeover and mall directory screens. Colours were intentionally desaturated to add to the 1980s feel.
